Join the US-ASEAN Young Professionals Association (UAYPA) for Insights & Impact: A Fireside Chat with Katherine Safar & Breanne Dixon + Microsoft US and ASEAN Careers & Talent Spotlight, a virtual program designed for students and emerging professionals exploring careers in HR, talent development, and technology leadership across the United States and ASEAN/Asia.
The program will feature:
Katherine Safar: Katherine Safar is a Bangkok‑based HR professional at Microsoft with experience across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US. She joined Microsoft in 2017 and has held roles spanning University Recruiting, Engineering Recruiting, HR Business Management, and HR Generalist/HR Business Partner support across ASEAN. Katherine brings a strong blend of operational rigor and strategic partnership, with a focus on inclusive cultures, leadership development, and scalable people practices. She holds an MBA from Trinity Business School and is a firm believer in building careers and organizations aligned with purpose, growth, and impact.
Breanne Dixon: Breanne Dixon is a US-based recruiter at Microsoft. She joined the company in 2017 via an HR Rotational program, which afforded her several career opportunities across Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion, and Program Management. She has recruited talent across the engineering and sales functions, and currently focuses on recruiting Senior Leaders into Microsoft's Sales organization. In her free time, she loves to travel, workout on her Peloton, and spend time with her husband. Her favorite countries she's visited are Indonesia, Thailand, and Portugal. She's a firm believer in creating a life that feels aligned, playful, and deeply fulfilling.
The session will conclude with a Microsoft careers spotlight and live Q&A, offering direct engagement with recruiters from both the U.S. and ASEAN/Asia.
